Prepping for the 2016 - 2017 school year? I know I am! Especially with moving to a new school next year, I am packing and planning for a totally new look! The one thing that I will keep the same is the Behavior Clip Chart System. So ... here is the calendar for the 2016 - 2017 school year to go with it! Enjoy!

Community Helpers Informational Writing Packet
Only 20 more days left of this school year! I can't believe it. This year flew by. I had a wonderful year and I was very fortunate to have an amazing group of kids. They helped me restore my faith in teaching lol.
I think I am starting to feel a little bit more comfortable using TPT! This weekend I fixed up my community helpers passages and tree maps and put together a little writing packet. :) Click to support.

Mother's Day Booklet/Craftivity!
Busy! Busy! Busy! With only 4 more weeks of school left, the end of the year itch has officially kicked in. For me, instead of thinking about summer/relaxation, I find myself thinking about how I'm going to design my classroom next year. I have an idea and now I'm just actively researching it. It's been 2 years with the same color scheme & I just get bored too quickly! After all, if I am going to spend most of my time at school, I am going to make sure that it is a place that I will love! On top of thinking about my new classroom, I am also thinking about my new school that I will be transferring to next year. It's only 3 miles from my house (currently I drive over 15 miles) with much better school hours than I have at my current school. I'm excited! It is also the same school district that my daughter will be attending next year for Kindergarten. :)
With that being said, Mother's Day is right around the corner so I created the following for my 1st graders to use this year. Click on the link to support!
Thanks!

My Very First Post!
Welcome to my blog! I am very new to this Blogging/TPT world, so bare with me! For my first post I wanted to include something that my 1st grade kiddos are currently working on in school. My district does a PBL project every 4th quarter and 1st grade is working on Oceans. We have studied and researched the Ocean Layers (Ocean Surface, Open Sea, Tide Pool, Ocean Floor & Abyss) and actively engaged in discussing how the pollution and sunlight affects the oceans and the animals that live in it. When it came time for my kiddos to pick and study their own ocean animals, we found that we were out of valuable resources, being a Title I school and all. That was when I began creating a research passage for each animal from each Ocean Layer. That is how I ended up with my very first TPT packet! Please click on the link below to support & leave some feedback so I can get better! Thank You! :)

Once my students studied their own animals, we began creating a class mural which can be seen below! I'm so proud of them, it looks awesome!
